The Executive Committee

Daniel Slavin – President

Hello. Last year I was elected as the JCR President by the student body. I graduated last year with a degree in Biomedical Sciences and now hold a sabbatical position working for the students. I tried to spend my time at Stephenson getting as involved in college life as I can. From day 1 I got involved, and in my first year, I only managed to miss one event. In my second year I was elected the Assistant Welfare Officer, hence the yellow shirt to the left. I also found my sporty side in second year and joined both the Rowing Club and the  Lacrosse Team. With lacrosse I scored my debut goal against Dublin University on sports tour and with rowing coxed the Men’s Novice 4 to victory at Durham Regatta. In third year I was the Senior DSU Rep for Stevo and set up the Biomedical Science Society. I love Stephenson and hope to infect you this year with my enthusiasm for all things red and all things STEVO!!!!

Hello all!  I’m Ginny and the JCR Steward this year, and I cannot express how excited I am. The position of JCR Steward is a sabbatical one, which means that I have now finished University; (I graduated from Applied Psychology in July) and now I am working for the JCR. My main role is handling Stephenson Central, I will be running the shop and all other aspects of Central; while also aiding the JCR Exec with any help that they may need. This year, Stephenson Central will have regular movie nights, organised by our Film Soc, all the Top Sport on show and other events such as open mike nights and even a Murder Mystery.

I have had a fabulous time at Stevo and I hope you do too.  If I could give you any advice it would be to get  involved and to try things that maybe you have never thought of doing. There are so many new things you can experience. University really is the best years of your life.
