Here at Stephenson we understand that everybody enjoys different things. Our Social Director and the Social Committee are responsible for providing an excellent social life that reflects the diversity of Stephenson students’ tastes, interests and cultures.
It is our socials at Stephenson that make us stand out from all the other Durham Colleges. We pride ourselves in making sure our students learn to balance both their academic life with a full social life – with the tight College community you will find we have here, your social life will be very busy! Socials start in Freshers’ Week when our team of Reps will sort our a top draw, very well organised week ensuring you have a fantastic time and making sure you get back safely.
This academic year we have had successful City trips to York, Newcastle, Leeds and Durham. Next year these will continue with the addition of a Trip to the Races and Christmas Shopping trip to York.
The Social Committee is responsible for making sure that coaches, venues and tickets etc are all well organised and at a low cost.
