Durham Colleges Staff Cricket Club

Founded 1949

Welcome to the Staff Cricket Club Home Page
Email: staff.cricket@durham.ac.uk

The Staff Cricket club is now in its 62nd season, having been formed on 1st December 1949. It is open to any member of the University staff, whether technical or academic, who fancies a friendly game of cricket on a nice warm summer evening (apart from the 29 days in May when there is a biting Easterly wind howling across Maiden Castle!).

All standards are welcome, from current Test players to those who have never lifted a bat in anger before.

We play most of our matches on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, in a limited over format (20-25 per side), which means we are usually finished by 8-9pm depending on time of year, rapidity of our batting collapse etc.

Anyone who fancies a game should email us or contact one of the club officials - we always have room for extra players!
