St Mary's students performing on St Mary's Day
Postgraduates of St Mary's can join any of our thriving arts or music societies.
Performance: You can get involved with our College musical or with St Mary's Drama Society - whether behind the scenes, directing, or on the stage.
Music: There are lots of different music opportunities at St Mary's. We have two choirs - Mary's Mixed Voices (MMV) and our Chapel Choir. The Chapel Choir sing a Christmas carol service in Durham Cathedral. We have our own orchestra, as well as band nights and other acoustic events providing budding musicians with an opportunity to showcase their talents.
Arts: We run an annual Arts Week as well as an artist in residence scheme which facilitates interactions with professional artists.
Students with a special interest that is not represented, can set up their own society.

Chapel / Environment / DSU / SMCS (St Mary's College Society) / Sports
In addition there are the following JCR Committees that you can get involved with:
Social, Bars, Shop, Arts, Midsummer Ball, Publicity & Sponsorship, Freshers' Week, Welfare, Livers Out, DUCK, Mary's Day, Years Book, College Colours, Finance, Food & House.
