Resident postgraduates are fully-catered during the three undergraduate terms, with access to pantries for self-catering during the vacations.

Our dining hall

All College members - students and staff - eat together in our beautiful dining hall. The domestic arrangements at St Mary’s are continually being improved to meet the needs of men and women residents in College. The catering staff strive to produce the best food in any college in the University, and were the first to provide Halal meat for Muslim students. If you have a special dietary need then please contact the Admissions Secretaries stmarys.admissions@durham.ac.uk who will put you in touch with the Domestic Services Manager to establish that we can meet your dietary needs.

Dining Events

There are numerous dining events during term-time with formal dining in academic gowns once a fortnight and the popular MCR Black Tie Dinners, as well as less formal events such as the Annual Fancy Dress Ball.
