St John's College: John's Hall

The Common Rooms

College Group

In the language of traditional British academic life, the term ‘common room’ has a constitutional significance, standing for a class of membership of a university college. Accordingly, St John’s College has a Junior Common Room (representing undergraduates), a Middle common Room (representing postgraduates) and a senior common Room (representing College staff and elected friends of the College, both in the wider University and elsewhere).
