Cranmer Hall

Cranmer students

Cranmer Hall values community, and life-long friendships are forged here. The community draws people from a diverse range of backgrounds and traditions, and being able to share our experience is one of the most exciting parts of being a student here. We aim to be hospitable, encouraging and supportive of each other. Meet some of the students

"When I look back on the last year at Cranmer Hall, I am humbled by the ways in which God has used this special place to form me into a better minister of the gospel: Cranmer is often a friendly and welcoming place where I can be myself, and just as often a busy and challenging place where I can be conformed more and more to the likeness of Christ. Above all, it is a place characterised by people who love Scripture and the message of the Cross, and who are committed to mission. I am grateful to God for Cranmer Hall." Liam Beadle (London)
"I have had a good year at Cranmer Hall, studying for a Masters in Theology & Ministry. As a student coming from the Netherlands, it was very interesting to work within a different culture and church tradition. It was exciting and sometimes challenging to live as an international and independent student in the midst of people training for ministry. I have enjoyed being part of the Cranmer community; everyone has been very helpful and welcoming."  Mirjam Verhage
'"There is Unity in our diversity. The uniqueness of the individual here, contributes to the wholeness of our community in Christ." Jeanette Roberts
"Cranmer does a fantastic job of preparing you for the rigors of ministry, I felt that I was able to hit the road running as I began my curacy. The friendships made have become special in what can be a very isolating role and the experience gained through practical placements, college activities and the development of an approach to ministry fostered through, dare I say it, Theological and Practical Reflection have all been vital." Bruce Faulkner (ordained 2008)

“In my 24th year of marriage with two teenage girls, the thought of leaving home and becoming a 'weekly boarder' at Cranmer was daunting. From the comfort of my home and family to an unknown environment, single room and shared facilities! It didn't take me long to realise that Cranmer is a place that cares and loves everyone and building community is a priority, no matter what your age or background. Daily worship and being a part of the community is my family during the week and I will miss it when I leave”
