Visit St Cuthbert's
Pre-application Open Days
You can get a taste of what Durham University and St Cuthbert's Society has to offer by attending one of the pre-application events we run. The University will be offering the following pre-application open days in Durham City 2012:
- Monday 25th June 2012
- Saturday 30th June 2012
- Saturday 22nd September 2012
These events will provide an opportunity for those interested in Durham University to gain a real insight into the Durham student experience. Departments, colleges and other student support services and facilities will be available for talks, tours and demonstrations. There will be an opportunity to meet our college staff and to view our facilities. There is also likely to be a limited amount of University managed accommodation available. Places will be limited and therefore pre-booking will be required to attend an open day. The booking system will open approximately six weeks in advance of the open days. We do expect our open days to be very busy; you are advised to book early to avoid disappointment For further information please see the University's 'Visit Us' pages.
For those who are unable to attend one the open days, we provide smaller scale opporunities to visit St Cuthbert's Society. Please contact Mrs Ann Peart, College/Admissions Secretary on 0191-3343387 or email her on ann.peart@durham.ac.uk Visits and tours are usually held on Monday, Wednesday or Friday.
Post Application Open Days 2012 - Tuesday 20th March and Wednesday 21st March
Each year, the colleges and departments organise Open Days to allow students, who have received an offer to gain first hand experience of student and academic life. These take place in March. If you have received an offer and are allocated a place at St Cuthbert's we will send you an invitation to one of our post-application open days. In the majority of cases, all those who wish to attend the Open Days will be accommodated in college accommodation and will be provided with meals and entertainment throughout your overnight stay. Taking part in specially organized events during this time will give you a flavour of what student life is like.
On day 2 of your visit, you will participate in the programme that your Department has organized. There is also an opportunity for parents to talk to us at a Parents' Evening.
