Gardens & Buildings
Our Bailey site (fully-catered) is sitauted at the far end of the historic, cobbled street which is referred to as 'The Bailey' - it is close to the Cathedral and a short walk from Durham City Centre and Parsons Field. The buildings also have access to some splendid gardens with lawns which are very popular with the members of the college. We often use the "outdoor" space for activities and events throughout the year, weather permitting.
Our Parsons Field site (self-catered / part-catered) is located near the river and our boathouse, within minutes walk of the University Health Centre, local shops, banks and the Students Union. The Bailey site, Social Science departments on Old Elvet and the University Science Site are short walks away and the University Sports Centre is a ten minute walk away. We also have both court yard and garden areas for members of the college to relax and enjoy the good weather (when we get it!). The court yard area near Brooks House has BBQ faciliites and seating areas which ideal for events.
