JCR

The Junior Common Room is the student body of St. Cuthbert’s Society. We have approximately 1,300 JCR members. Unlike the majority of colleges, both undergraduates and postgraduates form our JCR. Every member is welcome to participate in all of our activities and run for any election.The JCR supports a wide variety of sports teams and societies. Every one is eligible to receive funding, which is allocated as per our financial guidelines and approved at a JCR General Meeting. We also maintain a gym, computer rooms, laundry facilities, PA/disco equipment amongst other things. See the JCR Facilities page for more information.

The JCR elects an Executive Committee and Officers to run its various services and committees. The Exec is chaired by the President of the Society, which is a Sabbatical position.
