A lot of time and money has been put into Freshers’ Week, so please turn up! If you miss one of the big nights, we promise you’ll regret it, if only because you’ll be left out of conversations for years to come!
Freshers’ Week is tiring, so if you can only come to some of the nights make it Sunday, Friday and Saturday as these are the really big nights we’re laying on for you. Thursday night is left specifically party-free because some of you had to be up earlier that morning and have to be up earlier the following morning for lectures. Thursday is your night to chill a little bit – use it wisely!
Buy at least some stash! If you don’t wear the Freshers’ t-shirt then other stash is a good idea. It means that when you’re stumbling out of a nightclub mixed in amongst other colleges we can spot you.
If you ever hear of some Fresher who doesn’t want to come to an ent because they don’t have a costume – slap them and drag them along! Many people don’t like going in fancy dress and you certainly don’t have to if you don’t want to (though it is always a nice touch). If you are the type who likes to don a great outfit then you’re welcome to on any night you wish – it’s typically a Cuth’s thing to walk into the Beer Garden on a sunny afternoon and find someone in fancy dress with no other reason other than “because they could”. It’s fair to say that after a few months at Cuth’s you barely notice anyone in fancy dress because it’s the norm. However, to make it clear for those on the hunt for fancy dress the main nights for this are the Back to School, Toga, and Beach Parties – all cheap and simple to do if you know where you’re looking (do your bit for charity – check out OXFAM, Barnardos Shops etc). We’re even have a little bit of stuff to give out to you on some of the nights. Nice or what?
Other than that we’d just like to say if you want to drink then drink, if you don’t then don’t. You don’t get judged at Cuths, and you can now look forward to getting treated like adults…Welcome to Cuths…
