    The most popular areas for students are the Viaduct – notoriously known as the “student ghetto” by some locals, Elvet, Neville’s Cross and Gilesgate. Each one of these has its own advantages and disadvantages which you should definitely weigh up before deciding where you want to live. It’s all very well saying you want to be around other students, but do you want loud parties going on just up the road during your exams?

    Choosing a house is about more than just finding a property you like. You have to be absolutely 100% sure that everything fits the bill, and this includes the area where you live.
