DUCK TEAM
| College Coordinator
Heya my name is Rach Rodgers and this year I am the DUCK college coordinator. This means I’m the college reps first point of call when they need help organising things and I am their main link to the central university wide DUCK exec. Last year I was a junior DUCK rep in Cuths and I became a little bit obsessed with all things DUCK; be it firewalks, ragraids, slave auctions, music nights, comedy nights or sports events – if it’s raising money for charity then I’ll be there. Although my position is on the central DUCK exec, I will be helping Eddie and the rest of the DUCK team throughout the year, so if you want to be involved in anything from mountain climbing to baking cakes feel free to give me a shout and hopefully this year Cuth’s DUCK can be more successful than ever!

| Senior DUCK rep
Hi my name is Eddie Larkin and I’m this year’s senior DUCK rep for Cuths. This means that I look after the rest of the DUCK team and help them out with all their jobs. As well as this I attend rep meetings with the reps from all the other colleges every other Wednesday afternoon, chaired by Rach also from Cuths. These meetings keep me up to date with what the other colleges are doing, so I can check that were still doing the best! If you want to be involved with Cuth’s DUCK feel free to get in touch with me, we’d Love to have you on board. |
| Events Coordinator
Hi, my name is Victoria and I am this year’s DUCK events coordinator for Cuth’s. I will be trying to organise events that the DUCK team come up with and making sure they go ahead, and just generally supporting Eddie to make Cuth’s DUCK better than ever this year. So if you have any ideas for some awesome events we can run to raise money for DUCK, just let me know! The more ambitious the ideas the better – we’re hoping to organise a firewalk for next year, as well as running some of last year’s events again such as the fab slave auctions.
Get in touch if you want any more information on DUCK or the events we’re planning! Victoria Worrall |

| Sports Events
Heya! We’re Kate and Claire and together we are this year’s Sports Events coordinators. So if you are interested in running a marathon, abseiling down the Tyne Bridge in Newcastle or dressing up in a Santa suit for the Christmas fun run then drop us an email. We really would love to hear from you especially if you know of a sporting charity event that we don’t! Together we can make Cuth’s DUCK miles better than the other colleges, so get involved! |
| Treasurer
Hi, my name is Amy Mason and I am this year’s DUCK team treasurer. Every time we do an event I count the money, sort it all out and get it down to the DUCK office at the DSU so that it counts for our college total. So if you love maths and accounts and fancy helping me out, get in touch – every little helps! |
| Welfare Events
Hi,I’m Dani and I’ll be getting involved with Cuth’s DUCK this year by linking fundraisers with DSU welfare awareness campaigns. This is something that has not been done before but we are sure will be successful. We hope this will not only raise money for charities, but also awareness of welfare issues and that the Welfare Team will become a more integral part of Cuth’s through its new partnership with DUCK. If you have queries, ideas or want to be involved, you are welcome to email me at d.c.martines@dur.ac.uk. Let’s hope next year is a great one for DUCK (and welfare)! |
