    12 South BaileyThe Society is proud to have accommodation on Durham’s historic South Bailey, close to the Cathedral. In total, 110 first year students live here. It’s just a short walk to the shops in Durham City Centre and all the main University departments are nearby.

    There are fantastic facilities on the South Bailey including the Library, Weights Gym, JCR and Bar. There is also a large Computer Room and a TV room which includes a 52″ HD LCDTV and a PlayStation3.

    In addition all student rooms on the South Bailey are connected to the University’s high-speed data network allowing access to the Internet.

    • 40 rooms are single and 35 are shared between two students (same sex)
    • All rooms on the Bailey are full board – giving breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week
    • There are showers and toilets between 7 or 8, and it’s mixed sex
    • You pay for term-time only
    • You can opt-in to Christmas holiday accommodation
    • You cannot opt-in to Easter, and have to clear out for Open Days. After the Open Days, you can pay per a night, or per week self-catered
