Fonteyn Court

Fonteyn Court is located on the Parson’s Field site, next to the Durham City Rugby Club and Social Science departments on Old Elvet. It’s located within minutes of the local shops, banks and the Students Union. The University Science Site is just a short walk away.

Fonteyn Court houses 60 students in groups of between 6 and 12, with communal kitchens varying in size respectively. It also has a soundproofed music room, complete with guitar and bass amps, a drum kit, a piano, and cabinets for music and intrument storage. Fonteyn also has a fantastic view of the rugby pitch – you can cheer on Cuths from the comfort of your own room!

All student rooms in Fonteyn Court are connected to the University’s high-speed data network allowing access to the Internet.

• All occupancy agreements at Parsons Field span from the first day of the year to the last (38 weeks). This includes both vacations with the exception of the two-week University shutdown over Christmas and New Year
• All rooms are self-catered as standard
• However, first years can opt-in to a package offering 10 meals per week (Lunch and Dinner, Monday to Friday, for an additional cost)
