Information

Here you can find information relating the our SCR as a whole. Membership to the SCR is extended to all postgraduate members of St Aidan's college, as well as college mentors, University staff and the wider community of Durham. If you would like to become involved with our SCR, you can contact our Treasurer, David Morris, for all membership enquiries.

If you want in depth information about the running of the SCR, please download the Constitution and Standing Orders which can be found on the right of this page. If you have any questions arising from this, please contact our Chair Fenton Coulthurst.

Our Common Room

The SCR Common Room is the SCR's own private space within College. All of our members have access to this room, which has a TV and DVD player, Hi-Fi, large screen projector and a small kitchen with fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. (Tea and Coffee are free to members!). We also have plenty of seating and a range of board games. It's available to members at any time of day, members can simply sign out a key at the college reception. You'll need to leave some form of photo ID when collecting the key, which you'll get back when you return it.

What do the SCR do?

St Aidan's College SCR holds a wide range of social events for its members. Our events calendar is always up to date and busy! From Members' Nights and Formal Dinners to more informal film evenings, there is often something on offer for SCR members to get involved with.

Livers-In

Many of our members are postgraduate students who are residents of St Aidan's College. Some of these students are on catered contracts, and have food provided by the college during term time, while others self cater. The SCR looks after the interests of all postgraduates living in college via our Postgraduate Reps, Hao, Nic and Hendrick.
