St Aidan's Open Days
The best way to find out about college life and what it's like to be a student at Durham is to attend one of our University Open Days.
Pre-application Open Days
You can get a taste of what Durham University and St Aidan's College has to offer by attending one our pre-application open days. The University will be offering the following pre-application open days in Durham City 2013:
- Monday 24 June 2013
- Saturday 29 June 2013
- Saturday 21 September 2013
These events will provide an opportunity for those interested in Durham University to gain a real insight into the Durham student experience. Departments, colleges and other student support services and facilities will be available for talks, tours and demonstrations. There will be an opportunity to meet our College staff and to view our facilities. There is also likely to be a limited amount of University managed accommodation available.
Places will be limited and therefore pre-booking will be required to attend an open day. The booking system will open approximately six weeks in advance of the open days. We do expect our open days to be very busy; you are advised to book early to avoid disappointment. For further information please see the University's 'Visit Us' pages.
If you are unable to attend one the open days, we provide smaller scale opportunities to visit St Aidan's College. Please see below for further information.

Other Visits
If you are unable to attend one of the University's pre-application Open Days, you are welcome to arrange a visit to St Aidan's College. There are usually guided tours Monday to Friday, at 11.30am - although visits outside of this time can also be arranged. It would be helpful if you could contact the College to arrange a tour in advance, please email Emma Wilson: aidans.admissions@durham.ac.uk. Unfortunately visits to the College are not possible over the summer.
In addition, the University runs weekly campus tours most Wednesday afternoons for prospective students which you can book on.
Post-application
If you are offered a place at Durham University and become a member of St Aidan's College, you will be invited to a post-application open day. You will be offered overnight accommodation at St Aidan's and will be hosted by some of our current students. They will make you feel welcome and will be happy to answer your questions and give you a guided tour.
