Referrals to the UK 850 MHz Solid-state NMR Facility at Warwick
If a sample submitted to the Service would benefit from being analysed at the UK 850 MHz solid-state NMR facility, this will be indicated when the results obtained at the Service are reported.
If the User wishes to use the UK 850 MHz solid-state NMR facility a strong scientific case must be made. This case (maximum 2 pages, to be submitted as a pdf file) must be organised into the following sections:
- Introduction and scientific background.
- Data obtained at the Service.
- Justification for the need for high-field (or other specialised facility probe capabilities).
- Experiments to be performed.
- The number of days requested (maximum of three).
The Service manager can assist with the preparation of this case and will liaise with the UK 850 MHz solid-state NMR facility manager over its preparation.
An application based on a referral from the Service will be reviewed by the local (facility) management team and a non-Warwick member of the National Management Committee (NMC) to be chosen by the NMC chair.
If the application is approved, experiments will be carried out by the facility manager. Members of the User's group are welcome to attend when the measurements are carried out, if they wish.
Subsequent use of results must be reported (using the online pages, as for any facility user).
