Top tips for applying

CVs	Tailor your CV to the role and requirements of the employer. Always include a covering letter to support your CV. More information on CVs
Speculative applications	The majority of bar, shop and restaurant work may require you to submit your application speculatively rather than waiting for an advert. Make sure you highlight the kind of skills that will be looked for in these roles e.g. communication, customer care.
Job adverts	Read the person specification clearly, as this tells you what the employer is looking for. Give an example of how you meet each of the essential criteria.
