DESCRIPTION:This workshop will be run by:&nbsp; Dr Keming Yang, Lecturer, 
 School of Applied Social Sciences The aim of this workshop is to introduce
  some basic graphical methods to postgraduate students and other researche
 rs who are analysing or planning to analyse social survey data.&nbsp; Afte
 r highlighting a few basic principles of using graphs in statistical analy
 sis, we shall go through some scenarios in which different graphical tools
  could be used for exploring and representing the relations between three 
 or even more variables. Special attention will be paid to relations among 
 categorical variables or between metrical and categorical variables. Illus
 trations and examples will be produced by drawing on the data collected in
  European Social Surveys. No requirement on previous experience or statist
 ical background for attending this workshop, but please note that it is no
 t a training session for using any software package for producing the grap
