SUMMARY:A Circular Diaphragm Resonant Biosensor
DESCRIPTION:Introduction by Prof David Wood. A novel concept for a self co
mpensating biosensor was envisaged by Profs J. Burdess and C. McNeil in 20
02 based on the principle of modal degeneracy. Over the past decade, the s
ensor design and fabrication process flow was developed to take it from a
lab based proof of concept measurement to a system level demonstrator prot
otype. This presentation will look at the various approaches taken at deve
loping the fabrication process towards commercial viability and the issues
  encountered along the way.
