Dalian University of Technology Exchange Programme

The Faculty of Science is proud to have engaged in an exchange programme partnership with Dalian University of Technology in Liaoning province in China.

This partnership provides the opportunity for twenty Durham science undergraduates, in their penultimate year of study, to spend three weeks at a summer school in China. In exchange, around five students from Dalian University of Technology study for part of a year on undergraduate science programmes in Durham.

Delegations of Durham students attended the Dalian Summer School in 2011 and 2012 and enjoyed a truly wonderful experience as well as acting as excellent ambassadors for the Faculty.

In 2013 the Summer School takes place from July 21st to August 11st, and current Durham science students (excluding first or final year students) are invited to apply for places. Anyone interested should email Dr Ladan Cockshut at t.l.cockshut@ dur.ac.uk for more information.
