Biography
Dr Jose L Mediavilla is a Consultant Adolescent Psychiatrist based at the Newberry Centre for Young People, Middlesbrough and part of Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust. He trained and practiced as a psychiatrist in Bath, Bristol and Barcelona (Spain) before coming to the North East. His research interests include the use of psychiatric drugs in children and adolescents and their safety as well as the early detection and management of psychosis. Outside work, Jose's interests are enjoying quality time with his family, outdoor activities such us fell running, listening to Latin-jazz music and travelling.
