Cancer SEA
Thank you for your interest in using this audit template. It has been developed in response to the Cancer Reform Strategy and with support from the National Cancer Action Team. Those contributing to its development included primary care cancer leads and academic GPs who are researching issues of early diagnosis. The work was done under the aegis of the Royal College of General Practitioners.
The template is an adapted version of that developed jointly by the RCGP and the National Patient Safety Agency. We provide guidance on its completion and a link to the full NPSA guidance on significant event audit.
Members of the development group have had practical experience of using this audit in their own localities and, with the National Cancer Action Team will seek to support cancer leads and networks that want to make use of it.
We look forward to helping you use this audit template in your work to improve cancer services.
