Cancer Diagnosis Audit Tool

Thank you for your interest in using this audit tool. It has been developed in response to the Cancer Reform Strategy and with support from the National Cancer Action Team. Those contributing to its development included primary care cancer leads and academic GPs who are researching issues of early diagnosis. The work was done under the aegis of the Royal College of General Practitioners.

We hope that using this audit tool can inform clinical practice and commissioning.

The way that you use the tool could have important effects on the meaningfulness of the results and on building up a picture of cancer diagnosis in your locality.  

Members of the development group have had practical experience of using this audit in their own localities and, with the National Cancer Action Team will seek to support cancer leads and networks that express interest in its use.
