Programmes

Our programmes provide students with expertly taught modules on a wide range of major themes and substantive topics. Teaching is research-led and links closely with the research interests and projects of academic staff. Our programmes feature a carefully weighted balance of core and optional modules that enable students to pursue their particular study interests while at the same time acquiring key disciplinary skills that are crucial for broader personal and professional development.
By working alongside Social Work, Social Policy, Criminology and Sport in the School of Applied Social Sciences, teaching is informed by research from a diverse range of related academic disciplines. Past students have particularly valued the excellent opportunities provided by our programmes for developing and exchanging learning across these related professional settings.
