Miss Wan Chiu

Biography
Wan-Yu has a degree in Social Work and a degree in Education from Tzu Chi University, Taiwan. She has also gained an MA in Social Work Studies from Durham University, England. Wan-Yu is currently a PhD student in the School of Applied Social Sciences (SASS) at Durham University. Her thesis focuses on children’s rights in Taiwanese residential care homes. Most of the research on children’s rights in these homes has been from an adult perspective and so the principal aim of this research is to focus on the views and experiences of the children themselves.
