The Role of Students' Age and Attitudes to Technology as Predictors of their Approaches to Studying

In this talk I will present data from a large survey of Open University students to address two questions.
First, it is well established that older students are more likely than younger students to display desirable approaches to studying. But does this trend continue across the adult life span and is it of any theoretical or practical importance?
Second, students' attitudes to technology seem to be related to their approaches to studying, and younger students seem to have more positive attitudes to technology than older students. So how does this relate to the effect of age on approaches to studying?
