Miss Anne-Pauline Crepet
My research topic, entitled Une édition critique des lettres politiques de Mme de Châtillon, focuses on female letter-writing in the French seventeenth century as a political instrument. Mme de Châtillon (1627-1695) was a prominent figure of her time and especially during Louis XIV's reign. Despite a major diplomatic role especially during the Fronde and from 1664 in the state relations with Mecklenburg and Brunswick, in Gemrany. She has been ever since nearly forgotten.
My research will analyse a selection of her letters in order to understand her historical importance and relevance.
I did a MA in Spanish studies both in University Toulouse II le Mirail (France) and in Spain.
