Biography

Having recently completed his MA in Musicology at Durham University, Nugunn is currently pursuing a doctoral degree with particular focus on the life and literary works of Sir Hubert Parry. His Master's dissertation was an investigation into Parry's piano works, namely the "Shulbrede Tunes" (1914) and "Hands across the Centuries" (1918), which were written late in the composer's life. In his upcoming thesis, Nugunn hopes to integrate aspects of musical theology and aesthetical philosophy in a detailed assessment of Parry's active life and works of a distinctly moral and ethical orientation.
