New research has found that wherever malaria occurs, the poorest children within the world’s most impoverished communities are twice as likely to contract malaria than the least poor, suggesting that poverty alleviation will protect children from malaria.*

Durham University is marking the 20th anniversary of its Queen’s Campus site in Stockton on Monday June 17th with a visit from Professor Lord Robert Winston, who will be delivering a lecture that is open and free to the public at 3pm.

New Storylines for Living with Environmental Change - 'Whose Nature?'
It will involve discussion between natural and social scientists and members of wider public about what the purpose of nature conservation should be in the future and how it should be practised.
