Neuroscience of Learning and Memory
The Neuroscience of Learning and Memory Research Group Co-ordinator is Professor Madeline Eacott.
The members of this research group cover a wide variety of topics aimed at understanding the neural mechanisms that underpin learning and memory in both the human and non-human brain. To do this we use a number of methodologies including both normal human and non-human participants as well as those with specific brain lesions, fMRI and electrophysiology. Themes in our research include: memory for locations (including how we navigate), objects and environments; episodic memory (memory for events in your life); the effects of emotion on memory; memory processes such as consolidation.
