Develop and promote the study and research of different aspects of Pacific-Asian Politics in the UK within the wider context of the PSA

Contribute to the activities of the PSA by organising panels at the PSA Annual Conference and an annual Specialist Group conference

Complement the work of other associations in the UK and further afield working on East and South-East Asian Studies from other disciplinary perspectives

Offer an informal research network allowing for wide and active participation of its members

Promote and facilitate research collaboration and joint publications in the field

Promote postgraduate study and offer postgraduate students a forum in which to discuss their work

Establish and maintain a website to serve as a teaching and research resource

Provide a forum for discussion through an email network, the website and an annual one-day conference

Organise panels at the PSA Annual Conference and other appropriate conferences

Disseminate information about conferences, research projects, research grants etc. in the field via the website and a distribution list
