Project Sri Lanka

Partners

Durham University students, through DUCK (the Durham University Charities Kommittee) and academic staff are working with other groups and organisations in the counties of Durham and Northumberland to provide support and assistance for communities in need.  In Sri Lanka our major partners are the Sarvodaya Shramadana organisation, Rotary Sri Lanka, The Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka, the University of Colombo, the University of Ruhuna, and the National Institute of Fisheries and Nautical Engineering. The project is supported by the Higher Education Funding Council for England, the British Council in Sri Lanka and the UK, and the British and Foreign School Society. Project evaluation and development is enabled through research funded by the Economic and Social Research Council of the UK.
