Ethical and Methodological Issues in Research and Disaster Interventions that Cross Borders

On Friday 19th March 2010 an international conference on the theme of 'Ethical and Methodologial Issues in Research and Disaster Interventions that cross Borders' was held in the Lindisfarne Centre, St Aidan's College, Durham.

Attendees and contributors included researchers and practitioners from the UK, Sri Lanka, India, and China.

Dr Mark Powell, Researcher on the ESRC funded research Project entitled 'Internationalising Institutional and Professional Practices: Community Partnership Models of change in post-tsunami Sri Lanka' (which has Durham's Project Sri Lanka as one of the two underpinning models) presented a paper entitled 'Researching Internationalising Practices through Expanded Research Conversations'
