After university
It all seems a very long time ago now, but it only takes a few minutes from first spotting the Cathedral as I drive into town to feeling that warm sense of belonging... A sense of well being and familiarity that has stayed with me through the years.
Diane Sinnett (nee Ackroyd), Van Mildert College 1978-81, Chemistry, Managing Director at Tricom Services Ltd

During your time at the University we expect that you will make many friends, and when you graduate you will want to keep in touch with them. As a Durham University graduate you will automatically become a member of the Dunelm Society, a network of alumni, friends and supporters of the University.
Dunelm Society
As a Dunelm Society member you can get a permanent Dunelm forwarding email address, find friends from your Class or College who you have lost touch with, use the professional networking directory and access Dunelm Affinity - benefits and services for alumni. But there's more to it than that. You will be invited to events held in places like the Tower of London, BAFTA and the Groucho Club, and there's always an alumni presence at Henley Regatta. The Dunelm Society have regional associations too, giving you the opportunity to socialise and network with Durham graduates closer to home. Look out for the 'Durham Get-Together Events' on our website. For our overseas students and our graduates that work and live abroad, we have Dunelm Society chapters in countries around the world.
For more information about the Dunelm Society please visit our website.
Friends for life
Our graduates remain part of the global Durham University community for life. Find out more on our Dunelm pages.
