POSTGRADUATE ENGLISH NO. 20 (September 2009)
Editorial: We have great pleasure in publishing the twentieth issue of this e-journal. Postgraduate English is designed for postgraduate students in English Studies in the UK and in Europe generally. The journal is biannual, appearing in March and September of each year.
Issue 20 offers three academic articles in response to our theme of "Irish Voices". The PG-Tips section has also been updated in preparation for the coming academic year, and features both new teaching tips and links to the James Joyce Centre, the Robert Graves online portal and the Hyperarts Thomas Pynchon site.
This will be the last issue of Postgraduate English to appear in the present format, as we begin an ongoing project to update the website; to this end, we welcome any comments or suggestions, which should be forwarded to the editors at pgeng.submissions@durham.ac.uk.
Eleanor Chatburn and Amy Jordan (Co-Editors)
Call for papers for no. 21 (March 2010). A call for papers, detailing the theme of the next journal edition, will be circulated in due course. As well as academic articles and papers for "Forum" on matters of general interest to postgraduates, we still invite any papers, informal or otherwise, on the experiences postgraduates have had in teaching (tips, pitfalls etc.). We are gradually building such material into an invaluable resource for postgraduates who teach. Unlike academic submissions, these papers need not be refereed. We will also publish details of conferences or 'calls for papers' especially aimed at English Studies postgraduates if requested. For all further details see submissions guidelines. Please note that the email address for submissions has changed to pgeng.submissions@durham.ac.uk.
