Email List for Part-Time Tutors

I'm writing, on behalf of the English Subject Centre, to let you know about

a new service we're providing which might be useful to postgraduates in

English. The Centre exists to promote good teaching practice in English

Studies and I represent the Centre on a committee which reports (at several

removes) to HEFCE about the roles and responsibilities of part-time tutors.

I'm also responsible for making sure that the Subject Centre supports

part-time tutors generally. I've just set up an email list for tutors and I

hope it will be of interest to postgraduate tutors. I'm also looking for

part-time tutors to join a focus group which will help the Centre to provide

effective support for part-timers in the long terms. I've attached a brief

description of the project, and I'd be delighted if you would consider

promoting it on your website. At the moment, anyone wishing to join the
