Durham Grant Scheme
- £1,000 per year guaranteed to full-time undergraduate students in receipt of the maximum Maintenance Grant or Special Support Grant from Student Finance England (or equivalent) - that's over and above all your support from Student Finance England (or equivalent).
- It helps you plan your finances before you start your studies: as soon as you find out from Student Finance England (or equivalent) that you will get the maximum Maintenance Grant or Special Support Grant (that's £2,906 in 2010-11) you'll know you'll get a Durham Grant of £1,000 and you can start to plan your budget for your first year.
- It's simple: you don't have to make a separate application for your Durham Grant - just apply for statutory support from Student Finance England (or equivalent) (remember that you won't get a Durham Grant if you don't consent to share your household income with the University though).
- We also offer a Durham Grant of £329 to full-time PGCE students in receipt of the maximum Maintenance Grant from Student Finance England (or equivalent).
