The University is able to offer financial support to students who do not have enough money to live on and to cover course costs. The Department of Physics has several scholarships, bursaries and prizes that are available to our undergraduates:

• Durham Grant Scheme
• The Michael Cross and Kenneth Yates Bursaries
• VC Scholarships for Academic Excellence
• Vacation Research Scholarship
• Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarships for Sport, Music and the Arts

The Durham Student Union (DSU) Advice Centre or your College can provide you with additional help and advice.

NEWS: New BP undergraduate scholarships worth £5000. 

These scholarships are for "talented science, technology, engineering and maths undergraduates studying at nine selected universities across the UK". Durham is one of the universities selected to take part.
