League Tables

Durham has moved up to 8th in the Times League tables (from 9th last year). It is particularly pleasing that in the individual subject tables we now have 23 Departments/Subjects in the top 10 in the country. 1st - English 2nd - Archaeology and History 3rd - Chemistry, French, Engineering, Geography, Theology and Religion 4th - Middle Eastern Studies, Physics 5th - Classics, Philosophy, Social Work 6th -10th - Anthropology, Economics, Iberian Languages, Mathematics, Music, Law, German, Sociology, Education, Politics. Earlier this year, Durham was ranked 6th in The Independent’s University Guide, which uses slightly different metrics.
