New State-of-the-Art Undergraduate Telescopes Opened

Professor Sir Arnold Wolfendale opens the revamped telescope

On 10th October the former Astronomer Royal, Prof Sir Arnold Wolfendale, officially opened the new West-12 and East-14 undergraduate observing facilities.

Located on the roof of the Physics building, these substantially enhance the observational project work that undergraduates can carry out in our Level-3 Astronomy Lab option as they allow for remote/robotic operation.
