Safety induction

Welcome to the Department of Physics at Durham University.  The Department strives to provide a safe working environment for all its staff and students and as part of this policy all new staff are required to take part in a short Health and Safety induction.  This will inform you of the health and safety requirements of the Department and point you in the right direction for information on the departmental health and safety policy.  It consists of the following.

  1. Viewing a short presentation on heath and safety in the Department;
  2. Reading the departmental safety policy and the departmental safety manual and relevant appendices;
  3. Completing a short safety test for new members of the Department.
