Operations

The Director of Operations, Dr Clare Woodward, is located in Room 1 on the ground floor of the Rochester Building and is responsible for:

  • the delivery of operational excellence across the full range of the Department's activities in support of its research and teaching objectives
  • working closely with the Head of Department regarding strategic planning, policy development and implementation, change management, the formulation of management information and performance analysis
  • directing and leading the administrative and clerical support team and for the monitoring, development and communicaton of administrative processes within the Department to deliver effective and efficient financial, personnel and student/academic administration
  • senior management activities within the Department, alongside professorial colleagues with particular responsibilities for research, teaching and learning, facilities and the management of the department's five research sections.
