Students sporting achievement

The annual North Eastern Indoor Rowing Championships were held on Thursday (24 November) in Durham. Lucinda Gooderman, from St Hild and St Bede, won fastest women of the day and Jon Foster (Collingwood) for fastest man. Adam Jackson, doing a Physics degree at St Hild and St Bede, has qualified for the Commonwealth games in swimming, a remarkable achievement considering Durham University does not have a pool.
