St John's staff helps Pudsey appeal

Staff at St John's college raised £800 for Children In Need.
The colleges catering and cleaning staff spent the day dressed in football and rugby kits. Despite the winter temperatures the ladies competed in a marathon three-legged race around Palace Green, completing 26 laps of the square. Campbell Grant, College Bursar said: “You have to hand it to them, they were good sports and people haven given generously.” Source: Northern Echo 30 November 2005
