(11 November 2005)

Professor Wragg died following a heart attack. He was taken ill while jogging on Sunday and died in hospital in the early hours of Thursday, aged 67.

Wragg was educated at King Edward VII grammar school in Sheffield and took a first in German at Durham. But he was committed to teaching from an early age, and went on to a postgraduate certificate of education (in which he also took a first) and then to Leicester University where he completed his MEd.
