Durham Business School MA programme achieves European Recognition
(13 September 2006)
Durham University Business School has been ranked by the Financial Times in the top 35 European MA Management courses in its 2006 survey.
The FT rated Durham Business School’s MA in Management programme 19th in Europe. This places Durham second in the UK, after the London School of Economics, and ahead of the UK’s five leading business schools. The rankings are based on a range of criteria including: graduate salary and career status along with statistics on the schools’ faculty and research. Tony Antoniou, Dean of the Durham Business School said: “We are confident that this achievement underlines the quality, relevance and academic rigour of our MA programmes, confirming that they provide the skills and knowledge that employers demand and are the ideal platform from which to progress to study at both MPhil and PhD levels. “The Durham MA in Management, together with our other full time MA degrees, has also received recognition for ESRC funding as part of PhD studentships in 2006-2009. This award recognises the quality of our degrees and the excellence of our research training programme.”
