Durham student to appear on ‘Countdown’

Durham University student David Price-Williams is due to appear on Channel 4’s hit TV show ‘Countdown’ on Monday.

The 20 year old St John’s College student has been watching the word and number game show, hosted by Des Lynam and Carol Vorderman, since he was a child. David said: “It was a really brilliant experience. I was nervous at first because of all the cameras but as soon as I sat down Des was talking to me and the nerves went away. It was just like talking to a mate!” David, who reads Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at Durham, said that he “would definitely go on again if given the chance but unfortunately Channel 4 don’t let anyone go on for more than one run.” The show will air at 15:45 on Monday 21 August on Channel 4.
