Two more Knowledge Transfer Partnerships in the School of Engineering

SEV Group Ltd of Tanfield Lea are working with Jim Bumby (School of Engineering) on a project to model the performance of new battery technologies and introduce them into the design process for SEV's next generation of electric goods vehicles. The grant totals £92,696 over two years. Econnect of Hexham and Jim Swift (School of Engineering) have recently had a KTP approved to develop a range of communications technology options for incorporating into active power grid control products for embedded generation. The grant is £103,044 over two years. Both are funded by ONE North East who became a sponsor of KTPs in 2005, with one of their priorities being New And Renewable Energies.
